hey guys,
interested in getting an ACOG to mount on a swiss arms (B+T rail) and was wondering if any has tried or knows of an ACOG picatanny mount that is QD and will hold zero when removed and replaced? anyone tried this on their swiss or ar? I want to be able to reach out a bit farther than 300m with my swiss arms and remove my not so stellar iron sights skills from the equation when load testing but i also want to run the irons when i do cqb stuff.

I've owned a bunch of ACOG's, and usually put them in the Larue mounts (if you cant find them).

They hold zero when re-attached... or close enough for me! I can't say EXACTLY back to zero, but I would guess within 1/2MOA.... I never had to re-zero, but wasn't really using them for precision work. ;)

this is great news, 1/2moa is finei'd be fine with even 1moa shift. where do you get your larue mounts? i thought they were not to fond of sending them up accross the border?

I found all of mine on here in the EE... they don't come up often!

You'd probably be better off sourcing an American Defence ACOG mount - I've never tried that specific one, but have used a bunch of their T1 and 30mm Scout and Recon mounts. I prefer them to Larue actually... I like the latching mechanism better.

There are many ADM dealers on here.... ArmsEast, TSE, ATRS, etc. You'll like the ADM stuff!

Standard TA51 adapter worked for me well. I do not know if you would qualify it as QD but you can remove it in field conditions and reattach again if needed. I did not notice any substantial move from zero. Just make sure that you are pressing scope forward while tightening the screws. I have never used any tools for that.
