ACOG vs. ELCAN vs. AIMPOINT

I have been using Elcan more lately - I do not understand why they did not fix the f**k up in the BDC when they upgraded to A2. The calculation of the BDC dial is a fubar. The reason people are going open gated because the BDC is wrong. The error begins at the 300m setting which is at least 1MOA too much, and keep stacking up. By the time it hits 500m, the BDC dial is off by at least 2MOA -that is alot and it will miss the target completely.

The ACOG and Elcan Spectre BDCs are actually correct.

Had an Aimpoint with a 3X multiplier on a laurue movable mount on My STI comeptition AR-15 for multigun / 3 gun; got an Elcan Spectre DR 1.5-6 to replace it.
Love the Spectre.
From the fast swap in magnification with close and far targets to the graduated recticle for 5.56 and the crisp clear red dot and the huge amount of light it lets in, it's so superior. Of course, it was significantly more expensive, but you really do get what you pay for.
