As you can see from the picture below, all of the QD mounts on my new ACR DMR are installed wrong. Simple enough fix, but just a heads up to my fellow new ACR DMR owners out there, check if yours are correct.

First pic is the way it came to me.

Second is the flipped and correct way to make them work. (My VCAS sling would not work until i flipped them)

Ha now that you mention it, BOTH of my QD sockets on the 'enhanced' forend were installed backwards as well.

Also, my trigger spring kept slipping out of the safety lever thing, and I had to rebend it from a 'hook' into a little chicane. Works fine now, but spinning safety from the factory? QC fail.

...These rifles are $3,500?!?!?! That is hilariously unacceptable. I mean the price, not the QD socket issue. Just get a B&T APC223, holy f***ing s**t.

for the exact same price? can't figure out what your arguing here. It's $3500 as well. And they haven't been released so can't compare QC.

All the reviews on B&T are top notch. I can't see it being any different on the APC.

I'll have my APC soon and will be able to compare it to the ACR. One thing is for sure I will be keeping only 1.

Same here. I just gave up. It's a job for the workshop not the office desk.

Feels nice though.

They get easier after a couple tries. Once you have the lock ring out, set the butt on the workbench/desk optic rail facing away, use your dominant hand to hold the barrel just ahead of the gas system, and use the support hand to hold on to the optics rail just below the front sight. Then just wiggle the barrel back and forth while pulling the barrel out.

The B&T I am sure will not disappoint, however it is a chunky platform lacking most if not all the features that make the ACR appealing, and it will be heavier to boot. This DMR ACR comes with an aftermarket Geissele worth $400 pre installed, so I can not for the life of me see your problem with the price.

The non existent factory support for multi-caliber, gotcha !!!! ... LMFAO.... And Until I actually handle a APC i cant say if its chunky or not :)

Magpul employees physically installed the QD sockets backwards on new Bushmaster ACRs?

Well that PRS2 is a Magpul product ! I wonder if that abomination of a handguard is made by magpul ? or just some crap bushmaster designed.

Bud, its going to be chunky as fack trust me, it'll be close to 9.5 pounds, but really it has to do with how it holds to your shoulder.
The tavor is one heavy beast too but feels so nice.
