ACR Media and Info Thread

Thats the thing, I dont need to add rails on a M-Lok setup to install my gear. The best part of the RPM handguard IMHO is how slim it is. And I love slim handguards, this is why I have MI's on both my ARs. The RPM is lighter by a few OZ. if I remember correctly.

Its not about shooting at night, Its about target identification, specially in a Home Defense scenario.

Either way I sold my ACR :-( to go back to AR's since I was starting to get training scars between platforms. I wish I could of kept my ACR but the market will crash on those when the Non restricted AR receivers come out :) Thats why I got rid of mine while I could still get decent money for it. And I wanted commonality between my AR10 and AR15. And with my new mortgage I wont be buying any cool guns for a long time now. :-(

Supposedly BMO gives us a good rate.....

I did like your thin handguard, I must admit, but I still like the polymer one just as much in its own way.... a bit of bulk to grab onto works for me. And as I already own it.... it's free! :)

I REALLY hope you're right about the market crashing on these... if it does I'll buy one or two more!

I like a slim handguard as well but the polymer ACR forend works for me.
A few oz less than the polymer forend or the aluminum cheese grater forend?

Home defence? ACR is not the rifle I'd grab for that scenario. I have a glock 17 with a light/laser combo for that role.

I doubt the market will crash on them. The NR AR receivers are expensive making the completed rifle not much cheaper than an ACR. For guys that only bought the ACR because it can be NR but truly love the AR platform they will not want the ACR but for me anyway, as much as I love my AR's I do feel like the ACR is an improvement over the AR and the biggest problem with the ACR is the lack of factory and aftermarket support. I think that is the biggest reason the ACR is not more popular and Bushmaster really screwed the pooch on that one. It could have been so much more than it is if they had followed through on it. It's too bad that Obama put the fear in the people and everyone in the US was buying up AR's so fast that manufacturers shifted focus to keeping up with the demand. Was poor timing for the ACR.

I think the acr is awesome. Love the folding stock, love the looks, further away from being called an ar variant so less likely to gather attention. Sucks that there are less parts kicking around but whatever. Would love one in coyote. Maybe blackbox customs could do a color change.

Grab a rattle can! lol JK

Ceracoat ? Maybe?

I got 3 NR ACRs over the years on EE all for under 1800.

Just like the APC556 the NR barrels make the guns unbalalenced. These 2 guns in restricted form are a real treat:)

Pistols got a light on it as well :). But the wife rather have the X95 by her at night :)

3 for under 1800 with the NR done. I honestly find that hard to believe. Must be some real dumb folks out there selling for so cheap or someone is telling a fib ;)

Maybe someone here can help me out. I read before that the original polymer hand guard does not fit on the DMR version. Also heard you can do a little modification to it to get it to fit. Anyone have insight? I want to get ride of the cheese grater it came with, and really want to go the polymer one instead.

One of the guys in Calgary had his Ceracoat olive drab and it looked awesome, I would do green before tan if I was painting one.

I've heard you just need to trim a little of the heat shield but I've never had to do it so am just going off second hand info.

Ask Rammy about it. I grabbed that 3rd one for him.

and WTF would I lie ? Some of the insane deals on EE are grabbed within the first 30 seconds.

Cause it's the internet and everything on here is 100% true lol

I feel the people who are so hard up for cash they gotta fire sale their stuff. Maybe I'll find the next wicked deal.

Coyote? They're good guns for making two-tones :)

I kind of want to buy another black one and do something similar to the one on the left, but with the parts that are tan on that one cerakoted od green...
