ACR or XCR?

I am going to Las Vegas soon. Anyone know where I can get a Geissele trigger for the ACR there?

Assuming you want to come home with it, you may want to check the ITAR regs first before you do that

Just so you know, any Geissele trigger will work, so you dont have to buy the ACR specific one. I've been running a regular SSA in mine since August, without a hitch. You just have to bend the spring a bit. You simply remove the stock ACR spring and then put it side by side with the Geissele spring and give it a slight bend with two sets of pliers, exactly where its bent on the ACR spring. Install the Geissele and your in business. Its a highly recommended upgrade.

If there has to be warranty work of any kind or spare parts for whatever the reason which rifle has better local in Canada support?

I'm thinking Wolverine will have everything in stock for the XCR...

At the moment, I think the XCR is more serviceable, yes. Then again, I haven't heard of any ACRs breaking down or any components wearing out yet, either.

I have read reports from the States where there have been issues with the ACR one is going full auto.

I have read reports from the States where there have been issues with the ACR one is going full auto.

This is soooooo 2010... They were never actually able to duplicate the problem and I believe the suspected culprit was the ammunition. In any event, every ACR imported through the distributor in Canada was the new/modified version, and sadly my ACR has no full-auto or bust capability. :(

Gravel in Quebec is the official warranty center for Bushmaster and the ACR. I have spoken with Gerome there, and he stated they will warranty any ACR in Canada. They have spare parts for all the properly imported ACR's in Canada right now. Although, at the moment they do not have any extra parts for sale, until Bushmaster/Remington sends their next shipment of guns and parts. That was supposed to be around Christmas, but like anything in the black rifle world, it has been delayed. I have put in a request to purchase a some spare parts for a back up kit, however I have not had anything wear out or break yet. I have fired all types of factory ammo from 55 gr to 69 gr, and have not had this mysterious full auto experience.

Me neither

Blah blah blah...
Oh wait I see that the ACR needs l******e...
:p

Really? Never used any in mine... As it currently stands, the XCR has had more maintenance issues than the ACR in Canada. This is not necessarily indicative of anything, because the ACR is still relatively new and few in number.

For my money I still think the ACR offers more value.
