ACR or XCR?

Without owning an ACR my vote goes to it. I have had an xcr and couldn't get rid of it fast enough. I can't see to much of an issue for someone with a bit of enginuitty to rebarrel/adapt an ACR for 6.5,6.8,300Wisp....etc...

The challenge is no so much the barrel, but the gas system and bolt. Rumour has it 6.8SPC kits will be available next year...

That would be sweet,I'll take one in 6.8 in a heartbeat.I personally couldn't justify the 3-4K for another .223 when I am perfectly happy with the AR platform. But an ACR in 6.8....me want

So how come no one is importing these beauties currently??? Is it an ITAR thing?? No demand?? My next gun will be an AR and I would go for the ACR if I could find one.

Bushmaster relocated their manufacturing facilities, and they're still ramping up production. From what I've heard these are even hard to find in the US, so you're probably looking at at least several months yet before we see new ones in Canada.

Thanks! Gives me time to put more money aside for one

Accuracy primarily. Some days the XCR seemed to shoot quite well, some days worse than terrible. My ACR is MUCH more consistent than the 2 XCR's that I have owned.I should add that my ACR has a Questar non restricted barrel. Also some unexplained stoppages with the XCR.

Sounds like its you who is not consistent with the XCR...guns to not have good and bad days, the user does.

Didn't the ACR have a wobbly barrel and a slew of other teething issues? I would stay away from both of them, and buy a swiss arms with an NEA lower to use AR mags.

I think these were relegated to aftermarket barrels; in some cases they just weren't ratcheted tight enough.

I would go for the ACR, but they do not look too availabel right now. I own an XCR right now with no problems, but you know COD does not have an XCR... tehehe.

I believe most if not all of these issues were fixed a while ago, mine had no issues with the factory and questar barrels, and mine's a Gravel imported model (later serial #). The problems reported were almost all related to the early import questar ACR's if I'm not mistaken. I did have one small gripe with the firing pin retainer seal coming out, but a quick phone call and I received the part a week later.

On an ACR - perish the thought! ACRs are not that available at the moment, no. But the ones in people's hands right now are functioning flawlessly. I know. That's because COD only features "real" rifles... that work. Besides, there's no "make my gun suck less" perk. ;)
