Just wondering if any other ACR owners have had an issue with the rear takedown pin working itself loose after the rifle gets hot. 3 of my last range trips with the ACR have had the same result. I fire 10 to 20 rounds and when I go to pick up the rifle it falls apart like your taking it down to remove the bolt. If this pin wasn't captured I'm sure it would fall out of the gun. If I don't notice right away then the bolt will slide out onto the ground. Thankfully I notice every time but it's very annoying and would cause certain issues if it happened anywhere but sitting on the bench. I'm going to start just taping it off with electrical tape in the meantime but I'd rather not have to keep tape on the thing. Anyone else experience this?

Also would anyone know the actual part name for that pin? Pretty big longshot I'm sure. I looked for a diagram online but could find nothing. I ordered a bunch of types of pins to try off onlinecamp.com but wasn't sure what was what as they have no pictures just part numbers and names. Upper trunnion pin sounded the most accurate.

Update for anyone who experiences this issue! Took the troubled pin off the rifle to try and swap it with another pin, upon doing this I discovered the takedown pins retention spring and pin was jammed up with some dirt or debris and was not being pushed up to engage the takedown pin. Thus the takedown pin would slide freely willy nilly. Removed and cleaned the spring slot and retention pin and it now properly engages the takedown pin as intended. No need to switch but thanks for the idea onetwentyfish!

wasnt my take down pin, but my stock block pin will come loose after a good couple hundred rounds. I use purple loc-tite on the actual pin body and its been good now for a few years.
