You're a good Man MA. Thanks for the interesting barrel change/accuracy tests. I'm not sure I would be in a hurry to poor mud over my two new toys but hey it will be fun to watch : )
Thanxs MA, incredibly useful videos! on your last grouping with the SCAR using the M193 I would probably think it's more the ammo than the shooter given your other groups. Since I've started reloading I've really noticed how far out factory ammo can be. Especially stuff that isn't labelled match.
I've found that M193 does unpredictable things in 1:7 barrels. That's why I shot some 69gr ammo to figure out actual POI shift. The ACR's 1:9 barrel favors the 55gr ammo and is more consistent with it.
Well done.
It would be nice to see some 10 round groups with both.
M193 accuracy is spotty at best- sounds like the ammo from 5 rounds to 5 rounds could be chaulked up to variation in the consistancy of the ammo.
It makes sense that one barrel being mounted with the repeatability of a torque wrench would win out over one that has a barrel mounted lever.
Are there index or hash marks on the ACR barrel and lever that give some indication that even repeatable torque is applied each time?
