Theoretical question

Is there anyone out there that would be capable of casting or milling a 1911 frame and slide out of clear plastic / acrylic ?

I am Looking at the possibilities of creating a transparent demo 1911, nothing that could actually be fired but would have the ability of taking all the standard 1911 parts to be used for display purposes.
 
Theoretical answer.

Yes, A Gunsmith with the tooling and the ability as well as proper drawings could make it.
Steel or clear plastic would demand pretty much the same amount of work if you want the parts to actually fit and function correctly (aside from chambering and firing a live cartridge).
And so might be more $$$ than you might wish to pay.:)
 
Maybe some of the clear plastic 1911 airsoft frames could be machined to make an exposed working firearm for demonstation purposes.
