Act of Valor

Its clear that many here don't quite understand the merit of professional movie production, plot lines and good acting.

Was AOV entertaining? Yes. Was it a well made movie? NO! Was the plot interesting and/or fresh? NO! The acting? BAD! Authenticity? For the most part yes, some typical Hollywood crap as well.

A movie that is entertaining isn't necessarily a good/well made movie. Personally I'm getting tired of sub 100 minute movies. It appears that they can't write movies that last longer than 100 minutes or are appealing to the A.D.D. crowd.

Act of Valor is 110 minutes long... The movie was very well done and enjoyable. It's clear that many here don't quite understand the merit of entertainment and message in an ARTISTIC production. Movie was not a documentary...

The movie made me think of how much I miss my kids when I go to work.

But that some guys/gals do more, some may do less.

And that Im not the only one.

But it also reminds me of how many people are out there that will critique no matter what.

I can't believe people are still debating this. Look, for a $12-million budget I think they did incredibly well. It was entertaining - and some of us enjoyed it. For those of you who still think it sucked and are looking for something to complain about, well... you never stood in-line for Star Trek V! ;)

I watched it expecting more. It kept me entertained for however long it was but overall I didn't like it. It's easy for ex or current forces guys to tear apart drills etc. but that's what we are taught to do. Pay attention to detail right? I don't feel we need to be tearing each other a new A hole over each others own personal a opinions of the movie. Keep yours sticks on the ice lads.
