Hi all I am wondering if there is a down loadable chart of action screw thread sizes anywhere in existence. I've been playing around with some different bedding ideas and going through all the thread gauges every different action can be a bit of a pain. so if someone could point me in the right direction I would be eternally grateful.

Well I started this project a few years ago and got the basic -Rem, Win, Mauser- figured out and then it got put on hold ie. I got distracted by other things, and now my notes have ( vanished, runaway, hidden in the closet, old age sucks ) so I'm pretty much back to square one.

Brownells catalog #68 has a chart on page 414. I've seen it in other catalogs too on the page that shows guard screws.

You will likely get the screws that you need by going to the Brownell's site and searching for "guard screws" or the make and model of rifle you are looking for. Note their warning that gun parts orders over $100 need an export permit - they are very helpful in sending you all the paperwork to fill out - did this when I bought a Dakota Arms side swing safety a year or two ago.
