Action shooting near Saskatoon?

Hello

I may be relocating to Saskatoon in the near future for work. I am wondering what there is in the area for 3-gun and IPSC shooting? Also wondering about availability of inexpensive bachelor or 1 bedroom apartments and areas to avoid living in.

Hi Willy. All of the action in the Saskatoon area happens at the Saskatoon Wildlife Federation club and ranges (outdoors during summer, indoors during winter). We also travel to Regina, as the monthly IPSC matches alternate between the two cities. Prince Albert's club has a couple 3gun matches a year that many of us travel to. Beyond that all other action is much farther at 5-7 hour drives each way.

To get involved and learn about what is happening with the Wildlife Federation you pretty much have to join our facebook page, "Saskatoon Rifle and Revolver Club". One other thing, we aren't associated with the "Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation," so be careful with the club names.

We do IPSC and 3gun regularly, both matches and practice evenings.

Thanks a lot. I joined the facebook page and have checked it out. Looks great. I should know early next week if I am relocating there and will probably be there end August or early Sept. Once I know for sure will probably sign up for the Sask IPSC Provincials. As well if it all works and you need extra workers for it I am an IROA RO.

Currently there's lots of apartments for rent and buy its a saturated market.
The main areas are the west side and the Alphabets that you should stay clear of but to be honest crime happens everywhere in the city now.
