Just saw this upper mentioned in another post, did a search on google and CGN and my question was not answered ... Can you buy this in Canada?

Looks pretty slick and I really like the forward charging handle. My next black rifle needs to have a few key features;

- A charging handle on the left side
- A mag release on the left side
- Bolt release in the trigger guard would be awesome
- Threaded barrel for a muzzle break / flash hider.

Wouldn't the Bushmaster ACR fit the bill then?

There are a few actually ...

XCR
ACR
Sl8 (not sure about the flash hider or bolt release though)
ADCOR (typical AR bolt catch it's in that bad of a spot as far as I'm concerned)
AX160 (that new Beretta that we may one day get)

Not sure what else.

I'm just wondering about the ADCOR because depending on what price they go for I could end up with what I want for quite a bit less than the ACR price tag.

I just started looking at these guys too after Epoxy's post in the XCR thread.

They look interesting. And it seems to me there should be no problem exporting the upper through Questar or someone similar if you want to throw it on a lower.

Although I have to confess I didn't see the difference between the Elite and regular piston units

The only difference is the barrel. The Elite comes with the FN hammer forged barrel. The regular Bear has a 1:7 twist, button broached, chrome-lined barrel. The FN one is supposed to be better for wear and accuracy. The accuracy testing of sub moa after 6000 rounds in the HP white labratory testing phase was with the regular barrel.

FN Manufacturing 1:7 twist, hammer-forged,
chrome-lined barrel with M249 rifling profile for
long life and exceptional accuracy
