Yes on the pump, no for the semi...if I recall correctly (correct me if I'm wrong) there is no limit on shotguns for which you have to manually work the action I.e. pump. But for semi automatic, it is just that semi automatic so it is pinned to 5 only.

it should not be a big deal except maybe the over $100 price tag. It would have to be imported properly I would guess.

1st of al lyou have to make sure the company is registered withthe us DOS to export their products.
Then they have to apply for an export permit, you have to fill out our import paperwork, dp83 if i remmber right.
Then they can ship it.
If they or you are found to export it with our the paperwork, be it now or 5yrs from now, your looking at jail time in the US, banded from the US for life.
The exporter is looking at $5000- a million dollar fine.

The other thing is... how would you use it? Looks like it'd be mighty heavy to swing around. Still, 23 round capacity certainly seems fun...

Thats heavy. From a "tactical" perspective, it's very limited. Target aquisition would be difficult under full capacity - which is where you will be before engaging anything - putting you at the disadvantage with a cumbersome muzzle havy weapon.

I realize you may just want to plink / hunt - but 23 rounds?
I was very happy with my 9 shot mossberg.

something i stumbled upon and thuoght how viable is it...with the added weight it is a tactical disadvantage but with frequent usage i guess it can be compensated...any one else has any persepctives on legality of bring this over?

I believe that if it can be used on an autoloading shotgun, IE the 870 model fits the 1100 & the 11-87, (and it does) then no way they will let it in, because it is technically a 23 round magazine for an auto shotgun and the feds wont care about its possible applications with pumps. If they were going to allow it it would have to fit the pump shotie it was made for and nothing else. They make a ton of models but if the same is true for the other manufacturers then we wont see them here.
I'm NOT an expert, this is just how I understand the law as its written up in the guide. It's been a while since the last post on this, does anyone else know anything about their status?
