Nice! I bought a 226RX earlier this year and my 59 yr old eyes really like it.

Looks like we'll be filing for old age pension around the same time LOL! I don't mind stock sights for general plinking, but I find it more and more difficult to pick up the front sight in quick transitions in competitions.

Nice, can the 320 X5 take other RDS’s or is it only comparable with the romeo?

I've seen on other forums that owners have gotten various optics to work, but none are plug and play (modified base plates) just yet, unlike the Romeo1.

are you using the notch in the back of the optic as your back up iron sight?
If so how well does that work in practice?

First pistol optic, so it's all a learning experience for me right now - with that said, I find that bringing the pistol up on target I'm drawn to that back notch and that immediately captures the red dot for me, so it's useful there. How useful if the rds fails? It lines up with the front sight, barely.

I’m tempted by that set up. Looks like a fun plinker. How is the trigger working in?

Trigger is still my only pet peeve with the pistol, mushy, relatively heavy, and a longish reset. Hoping that Canadian GG dealer comes through eventually as it will get replaced. Overall though, doesn’t detract enough from the gun to make me reconsider ownership as it’s still def a fun shooter!

Quick update - have had it out a couple times now and it's still on there lol. No issues though, other than will need to practice use of it (one IPSC style mini match so far) more for competition just to get comfortable with it, especially for bringing it up on target and that initial pickup of the dot. The 3 MOA dot is fine, even in bright sunlight at setting 3 (out of 5) it is easily visible, and the glass is nice and clear. Mounting seems solid and secure, maintained it's initial torqued setting, and has held zero fine - it was off quite a bit when first installed, but not unexpected there, elevation/windage adjustments are easily accessible and positive. So, two thumbs up, so far.
