I took pics 'cause I was bored...Might be a good add on to the sticky. I'll let the pros be the judges of that.

I added an MI rail and Scope mount to my Stock AR-180B2...And Coloured the engraving in on the reciever...

Check it out....easy cheesy.

Stock Rifle= marginal

Mail Lady shows up a day early with my goodies from Wolverine (Thanks Ryan!)

Start to apply wax Crayons to engraving...Finish with a mini blow torch to ensure that it sets...Don't let it get to hot!:slap:

reciever rail sides on with a spring dealio to hold it tight against the rear sight...Prolly marginal but for $80 what the hell...give it a day in court. the EOTech is courtesy of WICKED POLICE. (Deal with him in complete confidence)

Buddy from the City showed up so we 'did lunch' and went and s**t beat this junker someone left last week. Funking thing caught on fire! I had to dump all my h2o milk jugs on it! No hydostatics this afternoon.... The slugs from my 14inch FABARM 'room broom' did a number on this POS (FABARM supplied from DIGGLER, Deal in 100% confidence)

Ok back to it....

The cuts are easy...hacksaw and a fine file. No probs...5/16 off and we are good to go. The factory instructions are very good btw!

IMG00006.jpg

Bring the rubber mallet! The fit and finish are excellent and require 'snug' fitting!

IMG00008.jpg

Lock-tight was included for the bottom screws! Nice touch!

IMG00009-1.jpg

The boys say to watch the alignment of the gas piston up. Mark it before you take it off!

IMG00010-1.jpg

Screwing stuff with the included tools! Perfect fit and finish again!

thats pretty sweet mod. all you need is a few lazers, lighs, a vertical grip and a cup holder. lol, maybe a new stock? dunno.

pretty cool man. nice work.

could you explain the wax crayon engraving techique?

I just want a solid gun...A vert grip might cure my mag holding style too...As for the wax crayons"

1) go to walmart, buy a $.97 box of crayons
2) Rub said crayons on a circular fashion over any engraving you desire filled
3) mix the colours as desired
4)for the deep Armalite Logo slice and imbed crayon material and apply heat to get a consistant finish. NOT TO HOT...The reciever is plasic
5) buff with wifes tea towels, drink beer, get busted using tea towels and run to work shop.
6) enjoy another frosty bev. de-grease with diluted mix and repreat buff.
7) repeat treatment to required areas if need be.
8) take wife/GF to dinner and repent for making the kitchen an Armory
9) add another beer and post this BS on CGN (perhaps a smoke if no one is looking)

Fuct if I know... As for cheap. Dude, it's and AR-180B! I have had bar tabs worst that the inital cost of this non-rest. beauty!

The upper is bent metal, the lower is Glock stuff...i crayoned the crap outta both and imho its looks tight. I cranked 150 rds at that car blowin the rad and everything else. the wax crayon stayed in form and looks great after a full cleaning before a nice sleep in the safe.

Thats all I know...

I told the wife about me wanting to do the crayon thing, and showed her the steps you wrote, now I'm getting in trouble for you using your chicky's tea towels.

waffle material tea towels work the best anyway.

damnit.

I have pastel filling in the roll marks of my 22/45. It lasts a hell of a long time. To clean it out with a bronze brush and hoppes, wipe off, gone.

I just wanna shoot that car up again...

Thanks dude....I am working on the m4 style feed ramp mod you showed us too. The stock looks ok in pics but I hate the plastic/cheap feel and weight.
