Just bought my first shotgun Remington 870 . as I will be using it to teach my kids & turkey / chicken hunting. what would be better both as a tactical option & for adj. size, Knoxx SpecOps Recoil Reducing Stock or the Mesa stock?

if you have the money buy a mesa tactical or our AR15870 CQB and use the endine recoil buffer, the best recoil reducing system o nthe market today.
Again if you have the money put a comp on the barrle as well.

I have seen your items for sale BBB I have to say you have a few nice items, But I like the tactical looks of your guns but I'm only planning on owning 1 shotgun, I'm planning to sell the barrel I have and get a 21" turkey barrel, Now saying this I will be using this gun for both hunting chicken & turkey but also for tactical training, So I don't want to go to far in the Tacticool options but would like to add a few tacticool items, like adj. stock, removable choke tubes, fiber optic sights like a rear ghost right sight. your tactical sling adaptor..

Hope this makes sence to you.

That will change;)

Nope I can think of other guns long before I buy a second shotgun.

Has anyone tried both the specOps & the mesa recoil buffer? would like to hear your thoughts on the 2 like which has less recoil & which fits better in hand & gives a better sight picture. keep in mind my kids are small framed.

Yes i fully understand.
Then i would buy 21" turkey gun, put the knoxx non ar15 style recoiling buttstock on it and get the gun ported Vang comp style.
Add trac-loc sites and a +2 rd cnc milled steel mag tube on it.
Jumbo safety, and vickers sling.
All this can be done for you by casey at Tac ord.
This will give you a hunting and tactical gun.

badboybeeson I do want to stay with the AR style stock as it has the pistol grip & also the stock is adj. for different sized shooters. recoil system is a must. Thanks for the help guys. The problem is I'm still no closer to solving the question as to which stock I should get Knoxx or Mesa.

Sounds like you are trying to build one like the "Practical tactical" that I have. Exept I didn't go with the pistol grip.

I have the Mesa stock. It's nice and tight, and the adapter is low on the back of the shotgun, so if you are using a bead or other low mounted sight, you aren't cranking your neck down to see your sights.

I also have a BBB CQB setup with the full rail. It's fine as well, but would recommend you use sights on the rail, or a red dot type optic as his adapter is higher than the Mesa. I'm sure this was done this way to allow for mounting of sights or optics on the rail.

I've got the Knoxx and I like it. Depending on how small your kids are they may still have a tough time even with the stock on the shortest setting. My wife is pretty small and the shortest position still isn't totally comfy for her.

You could get them a used "youth" model if they're too small for the adult gun.

my girl is in here teens & my boy is 10 both are ok with guns as they shoot a .22 right now. looking for a set up that would fit all 3 of us. for both tactical training & hunting, I have seen and tried the knoxx over the counter in store but have never seen the mesa other then picture & video.
