does anyone out there know, where I can purchase a schuster adjustable
gas screw or a mccann gas screw set?Iwould like to put one in my rifle
to use commercial loads in my m1 garand;every one I see on internet is
sold in states, and they dont ship to canada.I am getting frustrated with
the lack of rifle parts for m1 garand and m14 in canada.thx for your help
fellow gun nutz

thx Im sure i checked with them and they said they do not ship to canada.
I think it was in regs to an m14 scope mount.Ill try again maybe Im confused,
due to making so many inquiries over las couple of day.cheers

Scope mount they probably won't ship but they will ship you the gas plug

I don't know how we ever managed to use our M-1's 30 years ago without all this stuff. There was no surplus ball. All we could get was commercial factory or handloads. It worked just fine with no damage to any rifle.
Factory hunting ammo is a bit hotter than milsurp ball, but it won't bother your rifle. It's much less expensive to reload though.

thx hitzy
got it ordered and its on the way.i guess anthing over $100.00 needs export
permit.anyhow; thx guys you came through again.i love this site

One of the old tricks was to obtain the solid style gas plg and then drill a small diameter relief hole through it to bleed off some of the excess pressure. Can't remember the size of the hole any more as I have not owned a Garand for a number of years now.
