I just picked up a new SPS in 17 fireball with remington's new X-mark trigger. While it breaks cleanly at 4 1/4 lbs that's about a pound more than I want when I'm calling coyotes. I've adjusted a number of the old style triggers and wonder if the process is the same on the new triggers?
thanks

Chuck, I also just bought a Rem700 CDL in 17 Fireball. I, too, feel it's a fine trigger but a pound too heavy. I'll be watching with interest to see replies to adjustment. Great little cartridge - I have dies but no reloading data for it yet. Cheers.

Thanks for the info RockChucker.

dcbb go to w ww.saubier.com/forum.html and look in the small caliber load data. The 17 Mach IV data is interchangeable. I've been shooting the Mach IV for a couple years now and can use the Mach IV dies to load for my Fireball. My fire forming load to blow out the shoulders on the 221 fireball brass is 18 gr of H322. In fact I just need to bump the shoulder back a couple thousands and my formed Mach IV brass chambers perfectly in my Fireball.
