Adler RF224 + RWS Rifle Match @ 50 Yards – Averaging 3.96 MOA, Normal?

The tm22 uses a propper barrel nut, but you're right its not free floated.
The adlers for "combat effective hits" not "sub moa groups" imo, the sooner the OP accepts this, the sooner he'll start being happy with the adlers performance.

A friend got one. Subpar finish, dubious assembly ####ty mag release.
I get the appeal of the black rifle. This gun however, should be skipped over in favor of a BB gun. Same recoil, bigger mags, full auto mode and roughly the same precision.
Problem may be that you are feeding premium champagne to a "Lucky Lager" rifle. Basic ammo likely won't make much difference to your groups, but you will be saving some money.
I have read various reviews, 2-5 MOA at 50 yards seems to be the norm (a little better or even a little worse than AI is suggesting). Your rifle seems to be shooting a bit better than the on-line reviews would suggest, a Savage 64 for half the money will usually shoot below 2 MOA at 50 yards. Your rifle is not a CZ or an Anschutz, it is a Turkish lead-spreader:

Alot of these guns are marketed for mini ipsc, run n' gun, or steel challenge. So they are within the accuracy acceptance.
I just cant believe you would feed an ADLER RF22 with RWS RIfle Match,
It's my primary practice ammo in my CZ's and I have excellent results with it.
If I had an adler ( i have plenty of 10/22's) I wud feed it Federal 36gr CPHP but then again, I would be more or less happy with 1.5MOA out of a gun like that.

Now I finally understand what you meant. Right after I took the front barrel nut off, I noticed that the barrel wobbled like a ####. The barrel is only held to the receiver by only one screw and needed the front barrel nut tensions handguard and barrel together.
That's the most awkward design I have ever seen.
You are right about this and the Derya TM22 does have a front barrel spacer between handguard and barrel, but at least not screwed with the barrel together.
Finally had time to test it out again in a calm day.
But before that, like what I mentioned in the last post, I had to re-install the barrel because it was loose from the factory.
Short answer, it's not really getting any improvement. Shooting the same ammo: RWS Match still got 3.82 MOA, which was slightly better than last time - 3.96 MOA. But with Federal AutoMatch, it can get 2.94 MOA in average and 1.94 MOA for the best.

I appreciated your detailed and informed original post. And the resulting discussion has been really interesting. I'm just starting shooting my new TM22 but was considering picking up the Adler also... maybe not!
