ADM recon mount question

I picked up an ADM recon X mount from the EE recently. While taking the caps off to clean the screws, the solid "bolt/ pin" thats between the 2 bottom screws came loose and fell out. Is this normal or should this piece be fixed to the ring? Reason I ask is because the other one seems to be fixed in place. See pics for reference. Sorry if this is a stupid question but its my first ADM mount and I'm not to familiar with them.

Yes, to the best of my knowledge it should be a press fit and stay in the cap.

My experience with ADM mounts is that the pins were always fixed in place..

Both of my ADMs pins are press fit and don't budge.

It shouldn't matter you bought it used, if that pin should stay it should stay.

Thanks for the input guys. I've emailed ADM and am waiting for a response. The seller has been great too. He texted me and made some solid offers to get things right. Will keep u guys updated on what ADM says

OP, your ADM rings look awefully shiny with a lot of chatter compared to the two that I have which have a matt/nitride like finish. You sure you didn't get sold a knockoff or airsoft version?

I hope its not a knock off. It had some krylon residue when I got it so I cleaned it up and then applied a light coat of oil to the finish. I will post a couple pics of the complete mount when I get home. I do believe it to be legit though. Ive seen other ADM products and this looks right on par with them

On a side note I did contact ADM and they will be taking care of me. The seller of this mount was great too.

Ha I can 100% assure you it's NOT a knock off. I'm the seller - it's a legit mount for sure. If you saw it up close, it's easy to see it's a 100% real ADM mount.

ADM sent me a complete set of replacement rings for my mount today. Now that's great customer service.

Totally man! I honestly wasnt expecting anything more than 1 half of a ring AND I wasnt expecting it to arrive before christmas. When I had an issue with a Burris FF mount, it took a good 10-12 weeks to get my replacement. ADM hit the nail on the head customer service wise!!!!!!!

ADM is a great company, from what I understand vet owned and staffed.
