Advanced Armament Corporation Black-Out Flash Hider & Replica Silencer

Guys, you can buy the exact same thing from Fabsports... Spikes Tactical, They thread directly to the barrel and you can shoot through it, bored for 5.56 NATO. Heres the catch, THEY ARE 55 BUCKS!!!!! And I'd say they look just as nice, cans are CNC machined from solid 6061 aluminum bar stock and are anodized black.

Sorry CQB guy, but please tell us why your fake cans are worth so much more then these fake cans...

you can take it off and have a #####en flash suppresor.

Saw them at Targets Sports today. It is a solid aluminum bar stock machined on one end with corse flat threads to attach to the flash hider and there is a small hole bored straight to the muzzle end for the bullet to pass but it is still aluminum and I doubt it can take the beating of sustained fire.

It does have the ratcheting spring to index and hold in place on the flash hider. The muzzle end is convex not just straight cut. It is heavier than a hollow tube but not too bad. Does it weigh the same as a real one, I don't know, I've never held a real one.

Is it worth $375? I guess that is up to you.

No. I did not buy one.

Didnt mean to offend.....

Why is it people insist on posting such obvious BS? Unless you have some actual information to add to the discussion why not just keep quiet?

The questions your post begs answering are:

Who tested them?

What equipment did they use?

You of course know that gunshots can vary by up to several dB? Thus the claim of a half dB reduction is completely irrelevant?

1 dB is the minimum change in a sound that the average human can detect. Thus it would be impossible for a person to hear a half dB sound difference.

It is a solid lump of aluminum with a hole drilled in it. That makes it worth about $30. Add a few bucks for the annodizing. How does that translate to $375 being "well worth the money?"

SuPutin is obviously way smarter than I or anyone else on this thread so we might as well just call it a night. :nest:

For your information SuperPutin, not that you need anymore because your clearly a walking mass of it :owned:.... I was told by Wolverine supplies that they werent allowed to import shoot through suppressors for the TP-9 because they submitted them for testing and approval and they concluded that the fake suppressors mildly altered the rapport of the firearm..... I wasnt rude enough to tell him he was full of S**T and demand documented proof of his claims.... IE: Who, what, where, what did they use etc. I just took his word that our government told him that we couldnt have them and bought something else with my money.

As for the value... I salute CQB for bringing in such a unique product to our market, I think they are awesome and since there isnt a huge amount of this type of product available, they should demand a premium. If you dont want to fork out the cash, dont, by something else with your money just like I did. Just dont hack on the others that buy them because they are clearly worth it to them. I think that a guy paying $800.00 for a putter or a pair of hockey skates is a dumbass, but hey, that guy thinks I'm a freak for having $3000.00 into my 1911....

The main point I'm trying to make is that were all freinds here and if anyone makes a dumba** comment, or some of our statements are off key or facts not quite true,,,, CUT US SOME SLACK MAN.... even though were not as smart, were all just humans like you.:D:D:D

Have a great weekend.

Gord.

I call BS on that story. Bloop tubes are commonly used on .22 rimfire target rifles and they are no different from a fake suppressor. In fact they do audibly alter the noise of the shot yet there are thousands of them in use in Canada. As well, fake "shoot through" suppressors have been imported and sold in Canada for years now.

Someone, somewhere is full of it.

I've never understood this whole fake suppressor thing. Suppressors are cool in functionality only, not on aesthetics. Fake suppressors are about as cool as airsoft IMO.

Facts are Facts......

Your right, I'm right..... what ever... I know you can get these items everywhere, the fact of the matter is that the Canadian Government told Wolverine supply "NO,NO,NO" on the units for the TP-9, just like they said no to 10 round mags for them even though the unit is clearly marked as a pistol, blah, blah, blah.... I know I'm right, if you dont believe me, call Wolverine yourself and see.

My opinion is these units from CQB are awesome. I want one just like lots of other nutters out there and If I want to blow my money on a unit that is more realistic looking and has an industry leading name on it, so be it.....:D

Gord.

Man these kind of threads pain me, look at us fight over an empty bag of rice when what we really want is the rice...

All I know is my hearing would be a whole lot better if I had been using a sound suppressor all these years....:(

The guys that complain on this thread are the same guys that complain why can't we get Larue products here.

You guys are doing a great job, keep it up.

No not at all, when I sense a rip job. I speak my mind. Whats worse is the OP said that these were "super rare" and will prolly never make it into the country again. Right there that tells me something. In this country its no secret that when something is in short supply the dealers take advantage of that.

I apologize if thats not the case here, But when I see gouging I call people on it, thats just the way I am...

Let me be blunt that I take offense that I am ripping you or anyone else on this board off, this shipment was seized by CBSA in March 2009 and paid for at that time, they were released bt CBSA after expert examination by the RCMP forensic section in Ottawa, this whole process took almost 10 months. Since that time AAC has been purchased by Ceburus and they have become part of a very large company, at this time I cannot get any more of these units, I am also a consumer just like you and do not go about bashing other dealers or retailers if I do not like the pricing they offer, as always you can exercise your right of protest by either purchasing product or not. Many of the dealers on this board spend to much time defending their pricing or products choices, if you feel that you can be more accomplished then myself or others in this business, I take no offense if you would like to come by and teach me how to do it better, I cannot always have every item in stock and when I do everybody wants that item in green or blue. Pardon my rant but I do take offense when people accuse me of deceit or deception, distributors and dealers continue to supply the Canadian market to their best ability.

I agree, But like I said earlier, "If this is not the case then I apologize" Please don't take offense, but when you see all kinds of fake cans around for about $60, then you introduce one for $375 you can't help but wonder ya know? On top of that you didn't really explain what makes this can a 400 dollar can.... Whats so special about it?

Bottom line, i apologize for offending you, it was not intentional, just a little devils advocate is all...

Stop being a douche. If you don't like the price, then don't buy it. It doesn't affect you one way or the other what people choose to spend their money on, or how much they spend.

.

Free speech and a lil' devils advocate never hurt nobody
You've gone way past that to obstreperous. If you don't like it, don't buy it. No-one is getting duped into paying more than they should; there are other fake cans out there, and any consumer can readily compare the features on their own. Here's one for you: easy on, easy off. No other fake can, to my knowledge, can do this. Is it worth a premium? In the eye of the beholder.
