Advantage Arms Gen. 4 G19 Kits?

I don't think any canadian legal ones exist for the compact/subcompact glocks. The stock barrel length is too short and i don't know if anyone makes a longer barrel for it.
 
this isnt the answer you are looking for , but you can get .22lr pistols for about the same price as the conversion kits cost. i think LANZ sells some that are similar to glocks shapes.
 
Police ordnance is the Canadian distributor for advantage arms I believe. They should be able to advise of availability and a retailer to order it through.
 
I wouldn't spend the money (again) on AA kits. They are expensive and finicky about ammo. Get a complete gun same price; GSG or M&P22 would be my choice.
 
I happen to really like my AA kit for my G17 gen 4. Glad I didn't pay the $420 to $500 most CGN sponsors are charging though. Grabbed mine from Irunguns.ca recently for $281 USD, which came out just over $300 shipped to my door. My experience dealing with Jason at Irunguns.ca was FANTASTIC, by the way! :)

I checked the distributor website mentioned by redddogg69 above and it says explicitly that the AA kit for G19/23 is "law enforcement only", therefore not available to general public in Canada. The barrel length for the G19/23 kit is apparently legal length though - 4.425". Not sure why they wouldn't make this available for ordinary shooters like us. I'd jump on it if I knew I could get an AA G19 .22 conversion kit to go with the G19 I hope to buy next...

You can't have a G19 with a .22 conversion (w/extended barrel) but you can have a G19 in 9mm. f:P:
 
FYI I looked into this a few months back. Wolverine Supplies and Irunguns said they couldn't help me out.

The Gen4 G19 AA kit has a prohibited short length barrel. AA makes an extended threaded barrel that is legal length though.

An export company near Seattle, WA called Borderview said they could do it, but I needed to buy all the parts (the kit and the barrel) myself and have it shipped to them near Seattle, then they would export it to me in Canada with the proper paperwork.

I stopped trying to do this after the only place I found the extended barrel was the AA website, and they only take American credit cards.

Thanks for the info, even if the news is all bad. I have had one member PM me claiming to have a kit in stock, but I have not confirmed it is a Gen 4 G19 kit yet. If it works out I will post some pics and a review.

Well if you're more ambitious about it than I am, you could try and get an American credit card, or an American friend to buy the threaded barrel for you and have it shipped to Borderview. I just stopped because the cost was getting high. I think Borderview wanted $100-250 for the export fees.

I would really like to practice with .22LR using my G19 trigger and grip though...

My first stop would still be to contact police ordnance, even if they do list it as LE only. If a Canadian legal barrel is available from AA they can get it. You would be surprised what a friendly phone call and a good attitude can accomplish.

I may do that at some point if I first can find a G19 gen 4, which I'd prefer to buy new. However, I'm not very optimistic since I actually did call Police Ordinance a while back about buying an AA G17 kit for my G17 and they told me they are simply wholesale & distribution and directed me to my LGS (Calgary Shooting Centre) who they sell to. I guess I could ask them to work with my LGS to do some kind of special order. It really depends on the attitude of the guy I talk to both there and at CSC.

Too bad Irunguns.ca can't/won't do this via their US connections - I like their prices much better.
 
I run guns will import ut, but you have to buy it from a different shop and have them import it.
Also..watch the barrel length.
