Advice and feedback needed!

6NIA is a permit for Temporary Importation of A Firearm By Non Immigrant Alien. Pretty straight forward but requires lots of info.

6NIA sounds like a US form, correct? The one I need to bring my prohib back is from the Canadian Dept. of Foreign Affairs. I realize the Yanks have their own forms which, I'm guessing, is the 6NIA.
This cross border gun movement is kinda complicated. Wonder how the bad guys do it? I keep hearing about stopping the flow of illegal guns across the border!!

Ok, talked to Dept. of Foreign Affairs. The guy in the section I talked to was extremely knowledgeable about guns. We had a nice conversation about milsurps specifically 1903s amd M1 carbines! I commented that it was nice to see there are gun owners working in the gov't. He laughed and said there were more than he could count!
Anyways, the process goes:
1. Call 1(343)203-4321. This number leads directly to the dept that deals with gun export/import.
2. They will send you a link via email to a form that must be filled out and returned.
3. The form will require you prove ownership of prohib being exported i.e. RPAL with 12(x) shown, Reg Cert. for said prohib. And also a letter from the Gun Club where you are going to shoot at saying you have been authorized to shoot there and allowed by their State law to bring said prohib into their State. In other words saying the gun you want to bring is legal to be imported and used in that State.
The fellow said the process takes around 2-3 weeks to get the letter or permit or whatever it is from them.
So it looks like my G19 can get a plane ticket afterall!
Thanks ChiliDawg for pointing this out! Saves me a few bucks! More ammo!!!

glad that this is going to work out for you.

I have G22 Gen 4 with Lone Wolf Barrel and some extra Magpul mags. It shoots great. I don't feel any difference compared to my M&P40 with storm lake barrel at all in terms of accuracy etc. you should only need to swap out the barrel and get the mags which was what I did, but I did see some people online also swap out the recoil spring which I haven't felt the need at all. definitely not the extractor. Lone Wolf is cheaper because it supposed to be made in Korea, vs storm lake is made in USA. Some claimed Lone Wolf has less milage than Storm Lake, but I never could find any data to back that story up. I think it's just the buy-US BS. Americans were the ones pushing globalization in the first place. now this bull? well, that's off topic and another long debate somewhere else. :)

Guys,
Planning on taking a course in the States next year. Was told I can't use my prohib G19 as once the gun is out of country, it can't be "imported" back in. I don't want to rebarrel and reclass the gun as of yet so a longer barrel is out of the question.
I have a G22. Toyed with shooting .40 for the course but would prefer to use 9mm.
Question is:
For those of you who have swapped out your .40 G22s to the 9mm, do you just have to change the barrel? Is the Lone Wolf one any good?
I will buy some G17 full cap mags when I'm down there so mags are not a problem. Do I have to change the guide rod/spring and the extractor also? I need max reliability here so if the barrel alone won't do and I need to go overboard buying parts for a 2 day course, I may just shoot it as a .40.
Thanks for any help!

I've heard the same thing comparing the Storm Lk and the Lone Wolf barrels.
Most say the Storm Lk barrels are more accurate but that could be they are more expensive, as you said.
I now won't have to worry about it as I can take my 19 down and back again!
