Gentleman

I have a Ruger deer field 44 mag.
I would like a red dot or Holo type scope for it.

Of course this is at very best a 100 yrd gun. More like 50 yrd.
I have a conventional 4 x scope on it now and it will clover leaf 3 shots at 50 yrds. I'm actually very surprised at it's accuracy.

I just want a dependable , real quick pointing , quick target acquisition scope.
Like "oh crap black bear " quick

I really like the Bushnell rain guard on scopes.

I'm looking at $300 max if possible.

I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks

Might consider the RainGuard-coated Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 1.75-5x32mm. I have 1 on my .45-70 Marlin. It's a compact scope and would also be suitable on my Deerfield Carbine which currently has a Leupold FX-II Ultralight 2.5x20mm.

I've been hunting for months with my ATN scope. It costed me around 600$ and it's worth every penny, really! I am very pleased with my scope. It works exactly as it should. You can find it by the link - https://www.atncorp.com/smart-hd-weapon-sight . Good luck!
Hmm, I've been holding off on the sparc 2 because of how it might look on my Marlin. That atn would look about as at home on a .44 carbine as Mercedes wheel discs on a garbage truck lol.

I’ve tried the red dot route with the Sparc II and a standard Bushnell red dot. I’ve never been a fan of either red dot they just don’t work for me. I much prefer a low power scope over any red dot system, just looks more at home on the rifle as well. Just my 2cents.

Digger
