Advice : Gore-tex hunting boot that doesn't leak?

Sheephunter what boots are you currently wearing?

I don't like how soft the hanwags are, not enough support for serious mountain hunting. I've guided 4 dall rams and one goat in my wags. I like the stiffness in the sole of the meindle and the stiffer ankle over the wags. I've never used the cabelas brand meindle either. The willows in the Yukon ate the toes off my first pair but that's what happens when your riding through miles and miles of willows.

I use Lowa Tibet GTX early season and Lowa Hunter Extreme late season.

La Sportiva, Nepal Extremes. Big nasty mountaineering boots. Bright yellow and really loud to walk in dry conditions. My feet are never cold or wet.

I finally exchanged at MEC my leaky Garmont gore-tex hiking boot for a pair of Mammut gore-tex boots. I only had to pay the difference after 3 years of wear! The Rubber on the Mammut covers full 360 degree around the boot and sits much higher up. Also the leather seems to be much more waterproof then the suede leather on my old Garmont pair of boots. If these Mammut start to leak I will retire them to winter use or dry hunting use and get a pair of dedicated rubber rain boots.
