I'm only referencing the iron sight height above stock as a comfortable height to set a scope - going lower than that height of 1.5" could mean a shooter is straining for a proper sight picture. As always, ymmv.

Rifle is ordered and should be shipping next week (Stag 3GL). Hirsch is temporarily out of stock on the scope I'm after so I've been dragging my feet on ordering the mount. I've also been reconsidering whether I need to spend the $100 extra for a QD mount that I will rarely use. So now I'm looking at traditional mounts, and I think I have it narrowed down to the Vortex ADR ($120) or the Warne SKEL ($140). Any experience with either of these, or am I overlooking something?
