Advice on boosting IR range for ATN scope.

Thanks to wolverine supplies I recently acquired an ATN day/night scope. The range isn't very good at night, I understand a guy can get better range with the addition of a better IR light.

So I'd like some advice, if I could get some here.

Are there any brands to stay clear of?
Where can they be found?
What's a reasonable price to get at least 100M range?

Personally I would have steered clear of ATN all together, and even more so I would steer clear of dedicated NV scopes and go for something more somethimg more like a clip on device or helmet mounted monocular. Also I personally would not invest in anything less than Gen 3 as clarity=use-able distance.

Your probably looking at Gen 3 and several k to have a decent setup for 100m IMO.

PM me your address and I'll send you an ATN IR illuminator, I don't need it anymore. It isn't great, but it will certainly help. Only thing I ask in return is that you do a review showing pictures of how it performs with the illuminator vs. without :p the more info people have, the better.
