Can you guys recommend me a place to buy one of those stock kits for my sks..I wanna be able to adjust the length and maybe add a scope to it. make it look funky..

Check out sponsors on top of page. Got majority of my stuff from marstar 'cause i Liked what they had in stock for my chinese SKS. No question on service (excellent). Put some time aside and look for what you really like. Would suggest going through google looking at finished SKS's and then shopping aroud for what you like and how serious of a shooter you are. regards

elwood epps for sure....great people, great service and shipping is very reasonable...they stock alot and they are a sponsor on here....and if not...any of the sponsors will have something for bubba.

I'll check out the sponsers mentioned. Anyone hear of tapco product? Pricings not bad

I heard Tapco's better in quality than ATI (at least for SKS). Tried one out and it felt a lot better than the stock furniture, designed for a stunted, underfed 5'4" peon. The stock has nothing to do with mounting optics if you wanna retain your zero. Your only sure thing is something that requires drilling and tapping the receiver. That's either Choate or using the UTG mounting plate with Aim Sports or similar rail. There's also the POSP mount.

I had a tapco on my sks, tried scoping it unsuccessfully... You won't get good groups because its a minute of man rifle!

5-6" at 100yds with surplus ammo seems to be the norm. Good enough for my use - rifle nights at the 50yd range where 2-3" would make about 20pts difference tops, which is nothing at my level lol

Tapco stock is the way to go.For the scope I have the receiver cover rail model. You have to make it to fit tight but after that it works great. And if I was you I would buy the extra handguard gas tube combo as you do not want to change that pin out :) Heres what Mine looks like. http://www.marstar.ca/dynamic/category.jsp?catid=75446

I found it to be the other way around for the stocks but it seem better built but the it didn't feel as good as the Tapco one for shape but I like the ATI stock for the feel of the material it depends allot on which stock you pick because they make a few diffrent ones the only one I don't like is the ATI folding only stock makes it foward heavy and doesn't feel nice.

I was in Wanstalls yesterday and they had all of them in stock...

I hear Archangel is going to offering a Sparta style stock for the SKS in 2013. It is supposed to be revealed at the upcoming shot show in the new year.

Check out pics of a Sparta stock on a mini 14 to see if its what your looking for.

Very sharp, oh mam daddy gonna be getting some new toys for Xmas.

I do not know why everyone wants to make the SKS look like a cheap plastic toy. I did once but learnt my lesson. After buying a TAPCO for my Yugo 2-3 yrs ago I ended up going back to the original wood.

It looks cool on its original wood. If anything just strip the wood and refinish it nice. I think it looks cooler that way.

Plastic synthetic may be lighter and makes the rifle look more like an AR while the wood give it a rustic timeless look & quality.
