Advice on Holster for IDPA

I am looking for a holster for a sig P226. I am looking on getting into IDPA and would appreciate any help on the type of holster to look for.

I'm quite fond of Blade-tech holsters. The UCH IWB is excellent and the both the injection molded and kydex belt holsters are great, too.

I don't know who might carry Blade-tech and Comp-tac in ON, but they will ship to Canada.

I looked at thier web site... is there a certain type I should be looking at. I see there are different styles of safeties.

Safeties? Do you mean retention devices? You just want a plain holster for IDPA. You don't need any extra retention.

From Blade-tech I'd pick the SRB, the injection molded belt holster, or the UCH IWB. All three are IDPA legal. I own a UCH and an injection molded, and have handled the SRB for an M&P.

The Comp-tac belt holster and Infidel IWB are great holsters too.

I just ordered a holster for my M&P. Ordered it Wednesday afternoon and I had it Thursday morning on my porch.

It is an Blade tech DOH. More for IPSC though.

Not sure what other ones he carries. Blade Tech head office directed me to Double Tap.

I know silverdale carries Comp Tac.
