I recently picked up a sporterized BSA No. 1 Mk.III. I had thought I'd like to restore it, but now I'm not so sure. In fact, I've got it listed on the EE.
The main issue is, the barrel has been shortened to 20.5" according to my measurements. I've seen examples of guys working with these shortened barrelled guns to make an acceptable full wood rifle.
I'd like your opinions on what I could do with this if I chose to do the work. I'm not that experienced with gunsmithing, fyi.
I'll take some better pics this evening.
