Advice on Ruger 10/22 RR fiber sight reinstallation

Need your advice,
I got new Ruger 10/22 RR (Rifle not carbine) with Williams fiber sights on it.
Turned out to be that my front sight :eek: is installed backwards (factory defect, brand new rifle from store). I want to reinstall it, the only thing I don’t know how to do it. I try to gently hammer it out using wooden rode and small hammer but sigh did not even moved. I don’t really want to damage my brand new “toy”. Any advice on how to do it? Anyone ever changed/remove sights on Ruger 10/22? Need your help!

"...factory defect, brand new rifle from store..." Take it back. Doing anything to it yourself will void Ruger's unwritten warrantee.

Yeah, that can be done, but do you think they will replace it? If they decide it to send it back to Ruger that will take forever for sure, but myself I would try to bring it back to the store first.
 
Get gun back to the Basspro, they did not know what to do and promised that someone will call back; I don't think they will do anything about it.
