Gents, seeking advice/ideas for a build I'm considering.
Took a Model70 super Grade in 7mmRM 26in barrel on a trade last week.Unfired, mint, gorgeous classic lines.
I'm a big fan of walnut, but thinking fiberglass for this unit. But which one, B&C, McMillan, Brown????
Thinking modern classic styling, straight lines, no MC.
Just a nice classy walker for the plains, maybe around 8lb scoped.
Any advice or ideas would be appreciated.

I have used many of Brown's stocks over the years and have several now, Excellent design and very well made..............but pricey!! I've used both their fiberglass and Kevlar without regret.

Thanks for your input boys, I've looked around and McM seems to be the consensus.Came across a MCSwirly thread on another forum, nice units.

With respect to the McMillan Echol's pattern, you have to order it directly through D'Arcy Echols - it is not available from McMillan or through Rick Bin on 24hr.

Ok, thanks for that, I was looking at McM Edge, looks like its the most slender profile. From what I understand my best bet is ordering directly from McM.

The McSwirly is note available in Edge fill. Check out 24hr Campfire, there is tons of info there and most folks are very happy to order from Rick. He has better prices than direct from McMillan and he ships to Canada. Basner has also come out with a new material this past SHOT Show and those stocks look really good too.
