Hello, first off I am new to posting and hope this is the appropriate place for this post, if not I appoligize greatly.

I am just wondering a ball park used price on a few guns I am considering buying from a old family freind who is getting out of it, he asked that i look them up for him so he can give me a fair price, the guns are as follows:

Ruger New Model .45 cal 7.5 barrel, convertable to .45 ACP
Ruger New Model .357 cal 6.5 barrel
Ruger Old Army .44 cap and ball 6.5 barrel
all have nice blueing and have hard one piece rubber grips, the odd little nick hear and there but for the most part all in real fair to great shape, very well looked after,
he wasent sure the year he bought them but has had them some time now,
also has a Little Big Horn Centenial 45/70 BlackPowder in mint to near mint
as well as a Creedmoor Pedersoli 45/70 BlackPowder

Any help in a average price would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,
Cooter.

go by what the gun sells for new, compared to what condition the used gun your considering is in, along with the price the seller is asking. if it seems worthwhile, it usually is.
The equipment exchange on this site really is a wonderful thing. Its allowed me to own many different guns which i probably wouldnt have if i had to by them all from a shop and pay taxes, as well as allowed me to sell off guns that just dont do it for me anymore, and keep the cycle going :D

Thanks for the advice, the problem is the seller is not sure what to ask for them, and wants me to come up with a low end average for him, so he can give me a good deal, at the same time I dont want to make him to low of a offer on them.

I'll bite :); Ruger 45 & 45 new is 550 Id offer about 400, 2nd Ruger,357, about 375,Old army $375,The 45-70 is a trap door right? about $500-700.,The Creedmore is worth 1000. Please note thes are my prices & you may be willing to pay moore/less. These prices will alow you to resell if you do not want them.

check what they go for on w ww.gunbroker.com and ad the Canadian price increase which is usually 25-30% and you should be close. I have no idea what any of them are worth.

Thank you for all your advice, this is a big help, gives me a place to start, I am looking at getting in to cowboy shooting, would these be good entry level guns to get me started, they all come with good hand made western style holsters and ammo belts made by the owner and his wife. seems like I would be set up good to start with anyway? Thanks again.

Also does anyone no of a good gun decerative ingraver in Canada, preferably near Med Hat, or even in Alberta? Thanks
