Advice (please) for attaching single-point sling ...

Hi guys,

I have a Blue Force Gear SOC-C sling (with the two female fixed-swivel adaptors) for my basic Stag 4 rifle ... fixed butt-stock and fixed swivels front and rear. The sling came without any mounting instructions (contrary to the online store's info) and a polite follow-up e-mail to the dealer didn't get a response. So, it turned into an IQ test ... :)

Quick question ... in the single-point configuration (looped over head-and-offside shoulder, hanging in front muzzle-down), is the sling hooked-on at the rear-of-the-stock fixed-swivel, or (somehow) at the narrowest part of the stock just behind the pistol-grip?

I find that ... if it's suspended from the rearmost fixed-swivel ... it's just hanging too low. As an experiment, I jury-rigged a spare female-adaptor to the most forward point possible on the butt-stock ... and it now feels and appears OK.

(I haven't noticed a specific BFG factory-available adaptor for that spot on the rifle.)

Thanks!
