advice requested- old prohibited handguns

Thanks in advance for the info.

I am signed up to get my pal- restricted and unrestricted. I have a number of old handguns in the family- some have been registered in the past when they went from my grandfather to father, but a bunch of others were not. Will i be able to register them if my father gifts tjem to me, or if they are passed down to me?

From what i have read, a number of them are now considered prohibited.

Ultimately, i will need tontransport them from wjere they are. Is there a work around for transporting antique prohibited firearms? Most of them are war/prewar handguns, including:
9 shot, .32 Hi Standard- 76mm barrel

7 shot Bohmische Waffenfabrik 27, 7.65- 98 mm barrel

9 shot 6.35 Mauser- 76mm barrel

10 shot 7.65 Savage- 95 mm barrel

5 shot .32 Iver Johnson (1887) 51mm barel

6 shot .32 Smith &wesson- 152 mm barrel

Registered prohib manufactured before 1946 can probably be registered to you. Direct descendant grandparents, parents, sibling. Look up 12(7). Others could cause considerable legal difficulty.
 
No such thing as an "antique prohibited" firearm. It is either an antique, or prohibited, or restricted if a handgun.

If any of the handguns are prohibited, registered and made before 1946, and the current owner has a valid PAL to legally posses that class... And you are their child, grandchild etc... You can inherit them.

The rest are doomed. Legally.
 
My old man doesnt have a pal i dont believe. He did get paperwork to transport them back inbthe late 70s, and i believe they were registered at that time as part of the transporting process, but he has nothing now.

From what i read, about the ones listed above, they are all prohibited based on the barrel, except the s&w but it is based on caliber. That being said, they are all pre 46
