I didn't know if this was the start of a bigger problem or not. In the future it shall be pushed down without thought if it rears its ugly head again.

No. What I was trying to say is that one needs to use oil/grease to make thinks go easy when metal (steel) parts are around aluminum (alu alloys). Looks like is what he did and it worked.
Btw google what the trigger bar spring does to the frame in the long term and all can be slowed down with the right oil.
