Looking to start a project 10/22 Tactical looking rifle. I'll be buying a Butler Creek Carbon bull barrel and I want to make sure I get a stock that will accept it.

Any advise on options would be appreciated.

Thanks

Gianni

Any stock for a heavy barrel 10/22 will have no problems accomodating your barrel. The barrel diameter is pretty much standard, and the accessories have been around for ages.

One of the better synthetic stocks is probably the Hogue Rubber Overmolded. It's waay ahead of the Ramline and Butler Creek stuff I checked out at Russell's Sports here in Calgary. Of course, it's also a pretty standard stock design as well, whereas you're probably going for something a little different (tactical)...

10/22 Stock Choice

If the Hogue Rubber Overmolded stock is as nice as the standard Hogue stock you will happy with it. I have had about 10 different Ruger stocks over the years and the Hogue is my favorite. It fits well and the gun functions really great because you can get a firm grip.

Houges nice, I have one and would recommend it, my only complaint is that they are a little flimsy on the fore end.

If you really want to spend some money on the other hand check out the Bell and Carlson Odyssey.

choate has a heavy barrel version of their dragunov style stock, if your looking for that kind of look.

Isn't there problems with the BC carbon barrel?

here is my Bell and Carlson Odyssey Style stock:) i got it from rimfiresports.com
