hi all i currently hunt with a CZ 550 manlicher in 308 and would like to add a 6.5 swede hunting rifle as a open country gun i own a 6.5 swede m1896 mauser with a diopter sight and i bought my wife a tikka in 6.5 swede and i must say i am in absolute love with this calliber, and for ease of reloading i would like my second hunting rifle to be in this calliber my only real thing is it has to have iron sights aswell has anyone seen sako 85's in this calliber with irons and another model i have been thinking is a Voere in 6.5 but who in Canada stocks these? i am open to advise

i may hit up tradex buy a old husky in 6.5 to refurb for my son for when he is old enough but i am more interesten in a NIB for myself as i like the piece of mind for my hunting rifles although not against used guns.

20 years ago I bought an ''old'' 6.5x55 Husky for my son-took it to the range and kept it-bought another one for my boy.''Peace of mind ''in a hunting rifle?- take a look at the fine craftsmanship in these old swedes and I've got as much ''peace of mind'' packing that in the bush as ANY NIB rifle -they haven't lasted this long by being substandard.

I have read that the Swedes were pretty persnickety about the condition of their Rifles, so I would expect that the older rifles have seen more quality control and routine inspections than the average modern rifle. :)

i agree good point my old swede m1896 shoots like a dream that and my k-31 unbelieveble craftsmanship

If your going to look at the Husky 1900 consider the Krico as well. I'm still working on a pet load for mine as I just got it but so far I'm very impressed. I think Trade X has one left.
