Advise on a new coyote round for my new build

I have a new custom build on it's way from North Shore Barrels.

It's a 22-250 AI with a 1 in 8" twist barrel.

I plan to shoot Lapua brass, but am having a hard time picking a bullet. I have spent a lot of time on the internet researching what's available, but I have a couple issues and am hoping you guys can help me out.

I have never hunted coyotes, in fact I am ordering this rifle to get in to it. I am not sure what type of bullet or size I should be using.

I would like to shoot a match grade bullet, I would prefer to develop one load and use it for hunting and on the range.

I have heard the 1 in 8" twist may be too fast for lighter bullets and that they may fly apart.

Will the Lapua scenar bullets work for yotes or are match bullets just not good for hunting.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I haven`t tried Sierra`s in the 22 cal. but in the 204 they outperform the Hor. Vmax. Might be worth a try, i have a large supply of the old sx bullets in 224 that i use in the duece so haven`t tried other makes, back when i had a 22-250 i liked the 52gr match bullets that Cary Stricker of Leader was making but i don`t think he`s producing any more. I tend to buy several brands and weights and start testing. Berger has a good reputation.
 
The 75gr Hornady A-max will be a good place to start. I have a 8 twist 223 Ackley that I use these in for Yotes and they work well. I used to have a Savage with a 9 twist in 22-250 and had great sucess with this bullet. They work well on Varmits and will do ya good at range too.
 
Are you saving the pelts or what????? IF not shoot what you want.. The bigger the bullet the better.

If saving the pelts be REAL CAREFUL. Use a 40gr bullet and do not let them get to close. Make sure you can hit them in the solid part of the shoulder. Bad hit, BIG HOLE.

I am a fan of the .223 ever since I had my first 223 barrel screwed on. I will NEVER own another 22-250. To mush taper to the case. Results in constant brass flow even when neck sizing. Oh and much harder on barrels than a 223. JMO
 
I use a 7.62x39 for Coyotes in Ontario. Minimal damage.

For the cartridge you're planning on the 75gr A-Max will work. Just don't load them too hot as that case in Ackley form has the ability to blow any bullet apart.
