Just wondering if anyone has seen these or tried them out? Thinking of going a different route on my AR and this one seemed pretty interesting. Looks pretty versatile. Thoughts? Opinions?
 
Wolverine had Carbine ones last year, and CTCS had midlength ones until just recently. I had a total hard on for one but just couldn't put out the money they were asking.
 
I know of a few shooters who have them. Solid upper platform.

I personally don't know of any bad press about them.
 
I was thinking of getting one too, but the Price is a liitle bit high . its $250.00 price difference from U.S.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Even if you add up the cost of a top end free float quad rail, an upper and misc part, you're not up to $700. Even if you factor in coolness, benefits of mono etc, its steep.
 
I did a build with one and I really liked it. Really liked the idea that I could put pic rail or not where I wanted. As far as pricing is concerned, get over it. If I didn't buy things because they were cheaper in in the US, I wouldn't own much!

Basically no flex for optics from handguard pressure. Even top end rail systems there CAN be a little bit of POI change for front mounted lasers and such, or for scopes that are mounted 'bridging' the upper and handguard, so the monolithic upper because it's one piece with no joints there isn't any flex with it.

Basically that's about it. For an upper like the Vltor monolithic upper at least it's lighter and more streamlined, the Aero COP has always seemed kind of big and bulky for what it is, and all to get removable rail sections. A system with removable rails (instead of entire segments of the handguard) would be better IMHO.

Added rigidity to the upper would be one (imho, a monolithic upper really only benefits rifles where forward accessories are really used - beyond a free floated hand guard).
Dead on front and rear sight alignment is another.

Shouldn't a regular free float handguard do the job also?
As long as it's not loaded to the point where the handguard no longer floats free of the barrel, you should be ok.
I am interested to know how Aero was able to proceed selling this. Mega Arms got dinged by LMT for their Monolithic offering for violating LMT's patent on the whole monolothic thing. I know Vltor gets around it by having the bottom rail be removable, hence "polylithic". Is the Aero Precision similar?
 
Yes, it is, only the top rail is fixed. All the rest are completely modular.

It can be a full out quad rail, or it can be a smooth tube. Also variations there of, they also have half rails in the kit.

I think the holy grail (for me anyways) would be a monolithic version of the Noveske NSR. LMT's LM8 versions of their MRP and MWS are the closest I've seen so far.
