Aero ultralight canteliver mount - opinions?

Hi guys I'm looking to pick up one of these mounts in fde 30mm for my bcl102. I notice the top of the ring has a strange latching part and torx bolt on the bottom. How does this system hold up? Any experience with this system? 308 semi auto so not a recoiling beast.

I've had a couple of those and had zero issues.
One was on a Tikka HB in a Cadex chassis ,7mm rem mag.

They're a bit finicky to get the scope levelled though.

Agreed, I have a couple on my ARs. They can be tricky to level as you tighten the scope tends to rotate.

I ended up going through brownells. Can't beat the price even if I get dinged with duty it was way cheaper. Got the fde mount and a fde 7.62 raptor charging handle to match the bcl102
