AET barrels and plated bullets

having an open gun built in 9mm minor, wanted an AET barrel with the gain twist and all that but then started reading that they really dont like plated bullets and the $30/1000 difference between triple plated bullets and jacketed would add up pretty quick.

anyone have a AET barrel and use plated bullets? do they work?
