Hey guys, so thanks for the feedback in the other thread in helping to make up my mind.

So now I'm looking for another shotgun. I currently have an a400 unico xplor and a Beretta 590a1. But there are some gaps I need filling with a third gun. Here is what I'm looking at:

1) Backup hunting shotgun (turkey, waterfowl): The a400 is my go to, I love it, but should something go wrong in the bush I don't want to sit out tearing it apart vs just having a backup to grab and go with.

2) Down in the mud and sludge gun: The A400 is too purdy for those dirty days of mud, water and sludge. Cheaper wood or synthetic would be a good option to have.

3) Trap/skeet loaner loaner: Back yard games, nothing serious. There are a bunch of guys in my group, many don't have their own shotgun, some don't have their PAL. I'd prefer something more user friendly and of less value to loan out. This would include my 12 year old son.

I'd prefer a semi but a pump would be ok as well. My budget is $1000 tops but cheaper is always better. Fire away those suggestions! Thanks guys.

Check out ATA shotguns. Great value for the money and you can get into a nice semi for within your budget...if you are looking at a pump you could get two!! Good warranty as well.

If possible, try a few out and find one that fits you well and then look for a reasonably priced used one. Going this way you can always get your money out of it down the line if you get tired of it. Also, if you plan on keeping it for a while don't shy away from spending a few extra dollars. Well worth it in the long run. Good luck.
