AFFORDABLE Webley-Fosbery Automatic Revolver

BTW, I would be quite happy to have one chambered in 32 H&R Magnum or 327 Magnum, and get to use the milder 32 S&W Long for range/target use. :)

Over two weeks ago I "messaged" PHSADC on Facebook, as follows:
Based on the photos in the Webley-Fosbery album (which I realize may just be prototypes) I am wondering if the revolvers will be blued, or some other finish?

Finally, today, I got this very cryptic response:
These are not finished revolvers ...

Since it seems doubtful that the revolvers will ultimately be retailed in an unfinished state, I assume that this response is simply confirming that the images on the Facebook page are unfinished prototypes .... which of course doesn't answer the real question at all!

Keeping in mind that PHSADC is an marketing and promotional consortium of various manufacturers with the Pakistani government, the person dealing with the Facebook page is unlikely to be directly connected with the actual manufacturer of these revolvers, and thus would need to contact somebody else to get the information about ultimate finish .... and obviously didn't do so in this case. And of course, it doesn't help that their primary language is undoubtedly not English ....

I have responded as follows, which will hopefully elicit the desired information:
Can you advise what finish the revolvers will have when they go on the market?

You should probably run away from that except for the personal interest value. Nobody wants firearms made in Pakistan. Iffy metalurgy at best. Plus their law doesn't allow any calibre larger than .32 for civilians.

Really? POF-USA was formed to market POF license manufactured H&K firearms and parts into the USA market.

It was generally acknowledged that their quality and finish was better than the equivalent German product, and there used to be photo pages on the internet in the pre-2001 world where this was illustrated for all to see.

Now of course POF-USA goes by Patriot Ordinance Factory and is known for their gas piston AR15 clones...

A friend in the United States has been advised that the project is far enough along that the revolvers could be available in the near future through a US distributor .... supposedly in the price-range of US$800 ....

In which case it won't be of the original design, because it won't pass the drop test: http://www.atf.gov/files/forms/download/atf-f-5330-5.pdf

The Webleys imported by Interarms post 1968 in the US had a goofy safety bar added to them similar to the Ruger revolvers but it doesn't work terribly well. Well enough to pass the import test.

Webley-Fosbreys use a similar hammer design so I'm pretty sure they'll fail too.

Original guns I think are on the C&R list so they can be imported without passing the test, or were imported prior to 1968.

I didn't even knew such a thing existed.

Showing the pistol in action - Awesome!
Blowing an iPod with it - Priceless.

Thanks so much for sharing!
