AFGC Dec 16th Texas Star Challenge For Charity (And Indoors!)

Yes you read that right, this month’s texas star challenge is indoors. I had Curtis build a shroud for the star to let us shoot inside and take advantage of the heaters. Another twist you might have noticed is I am doing this month’s match as a charity match, specifically for cancer in tribute to Rob’s Mom. So that does means no cash prizes… but never fear I do still have prizes, I am going to be giving away 2 turkeys! Because this is for charity I’m not going to give them to the fastest times (besides, what would Tim do with a turkey?) I have 2 new categories that I’m going to give them away under and those are most runs and most no shoots hit. I know what you are thinking, “wait, a texas star doesn’t have no shoots” but this month it will just to make it that more challenging (no you cant just pound mags into the no shoots and win, I reserve the right to take people out of the running for shooting bad on purpose). And most runs is exactly what it says.

Turkeys as prizes

Oh, I will also have a spare gun there so if you don’t have a pistol but still want to come and shoot it, just bring some factory 9mm ammo and you can use it to shoot.

And a quick rules refreshers, the star is up from 10am till 4pm, its $2 a run, a run is 2 strings on the texas star, your time is both of them added together and the best time wins. All the IPSC/USPSA divisions are available, but you must shoot centerfire.
