Just dropped by Dante Sports in Montreal to pick up my AR180B that I use on gophers and cayote. They did a good job drilling and tappin the receiver for a rail that I have mounted a Leupold 8.5x20. I was talking with Rudy, he had ordered 5 Chapuis African guns that will arrive at the end of June beginning of July (depends on the engraver!). Two were sold within the week. They are available in 9.3, 375HH and 300 WMag. You can specify the munitons and they will adjust the barrels accordingly in their test tunnels. I have been to their plant severfal times. It is cleanner than the Beretta Premium gun plant! The wood selection is amazing (30,00 sq Ft warehouse of Turkish hand picked wood!). The action is very strong and will not shoot loose.

David is on the left, René (father) is in the middle and Vincent who now runs the business on the right. It is a honest hard working family.

Henry;)

I almost had one of their rifles in 9.3x62. It was a challenger take down rifle. Best fitting handling gun I've ever held. I got out bid by some lucky basterd with deeper pockets. Very nice guns

They are still being made, just not as popular as their African rifles and shotguns. The Challenger had a lot of safety features. Browse their website for some very nice guns.

Henry;)
