Congrats man. I take it you got the "Stealth" version? Any plans for Krylon yet? I wouldn't have the 'nads to paint a $3,000 rifle.

Seems like this is a combination most guys are going with. Meaning the rifle and the choice of optics. Is the Near brake finished at all? It looks shiny, though it might be just the light reflecting off of it.

Every time you guys post pics of your new TRG's you push me just a little more into buying one. lol. Wish the green stocked version wasn't so obscenely priced.

2bad4u2 : i read your post about the action, i have do the math at least 6 month before ordering, custom will cost more (me i was looking for Surgeon action, Mike Rock barrel, A5 stock etc...) near 1000$ less for the TRG and also, the TRG 42 STEALTH (not the stainless one) have a chrome lined barrel and i read that it can prevent throat erosion by up to 2 times... So this is my personal choice, your will be good too, i'am sure

I cant believe the green TRG is like $700 or so more expensive (THAT is retarded)

nice rifle it looks like fun

Sweet looking rig!! I have been wanting to get the green TRG-42 but yours is giving me second thoughts.
How do you like the Near Brake? I have heard that they are a bit cheaper to buy than the Sako brake.

I really don't know about the SKAO price but mine was 249.00$ if memory help, i have tried the same with the SAKO brake and to me the felt recoil is the same but the dust blast is half to NONE, when you shot from the pod on the ground. there is no port UNDER the brake. One neat feature that is very easy to compare to the SAKO brake is it PUSH the front of rifle DOWN. We have done some shooting from different position without support for the rifle (except our arms lolll) and you can feel the rifle going DOWN so there is no rise.

Also, very good brake, my wife is very small, 5'4'' around 125, 130lbs and she empty mag easyer that with my .300 mag sendero. My feeling is it push less too (the sendero had no brake) but it is VERY loud, as a baystander, you can feel the pressure in your chest...

Again, i didn't knew the green was more expensive, i have go for the Stealth ONLY for the crome lined barrel and on the review i have read, they where talking about the STEALTH TRG, Mabye the green is too but never do any search about that...

+1for the service from Richard at Near Mfg, very good guy to deal with...
