It's hard to believe that I started this build nearly three years ago. My, how time flies!

Here are some pics as the project came together..

Oct 13, 2013...

The op-rod...

I also decided to do some white-lettering...

January, 2014

January, 2015...

March, 2015...

March 21st, I have a functioning rifle...

First range day, March 22nd, 2015...

Dropped it in a Kevlar stock and went deer hunting in October of 2015...

June 30th, 2016, installed action in a JAE-100 G3...

Yesterday, I got the final piece of the puzzle (minus the silencer portion). My mom ordered me a GG&G XDS Heavy Duty Quick Disconnect bipod as an early birthday present. With the bipod and a full magazine, she came in at a lean 17lb, 10oz!!

I'm pretty much considering this project done. I can still do two more minor mods, but they are more for setting up to shoot 185gr juggernauts.

Here's the final breakdown:
-LRB M25 Receiver
-Jon Wolfe 22" stainless 1:11" twist 5R 3/4-heavy barrel
-TRW bolt
-Winchester op-rod
-GI gas system (un-unitized)
-Sadlak grooved piston
-Sadlak NM spring guide
-GI flash suppressor
-GI rear sights (never used them since the build was done)
-HRA trigger group
-Shooting Sight EBR NM trigger
-JAE-100 G3 chassis in Coyote Brown
-Leupold MK4 ER/T 4.5-14X50mm with TMR reticle and M5 turrets
-Leupold MK4 rings
-GGG XDS Heavy Duty QD bipod

Haven't shot it yet since dropping it in the JAE but I hope to have that resolved in the next week. I'm chomping at the bit to shoot it!

Thanks for looking!

Tony.

Very nice indeed! Did you have a particular source for your parts or where they from several vendors? Customization..... expensive but the finished product is amazing.

Nice Tony. Can't wait to see if the JAE has improved how it shoots.

accuracy ?

Current accuracy before JAE was superb. Average is right at 1 MOA for consistent consecutive 5 and 10-shot groups. If it is supposed to improve accuracy, I can't wait to see how it performs.

It was several vendors over the years. JAE sent me this stock to play around with and review. They threw in the customization as part of the package. Good karma, I guess. :)

There will be an entire video series coming that will focus on the JAE and the GG&G bipod. This was how I envisioned the build when I first started but I ended up getting some help along the way. I do plan on running a suppressor at some point in time as well.
