After market stock for a really short brl 10/22

Hey there,
Iam looking to do a build using a 10.5inch brl on my 10/22. It is standard config. not bull so that is a factor.

We need to keep this legal so the lenght/size of the stock is very important.

Any suggestions as I want the brl to protrude enough so I can stap a flash hider on it.

Modify the stock stock like this one. This would take a 10.5 and look pretty neat, I think

"...need to keep this legal..." Yep. Whatever stock you end up with will have to keep the OAL over 26"(660mm) or you'll building a restricted firearm.
"A firearm that can fire after being reduced, by folding, telescoping or otherwise, to an overall length of less than 660 mm".
Possibly prohibited.
"rifles and shotguns that have been altered so that their...overall length is less than 660 mm".
 
The rifle above has an OAL of 26 1/2" without the rubber butt pad to the end of the threaded barrel.

I don't believe a 10 1/2" BBL would be allowable in that stock. ( Boyd's Barracuda )

Technically the ones on the above rigs are considered a 10.5" barrel here in Canada,in The US it's an 11.5".
Rulings here have indicated that the techs sometimes don't include the chamber in the barrel lenght
Clear as mud?

You measure a barrel with the bolt closed....drop a rod down it ...mark it...pull it out and measure the distance between the mark and the end of the rod....

The chamber in a revolver is the only time you don't measure that way...

The barrel on that yellow/black 10-22 is 11 1/2"

ahh ok..
But I'm sure i remember hearing of some semi's that got screwed over by the techs..Sig or Steyr comes to mind
I always go by what the shortest they could fathom up an excuse for when i measure.

I think any stock will do if it does not fold or collapse. In any case - new barrel is only another 100$.
